The Programme
The primary objective of this programme is to provide the maximum assistance to the
children who have been orphaned. This project will not be confined to this programme.
It is intended to take further steps for helping these destitute children with regard to their
health and well being. Letters to the 150 children, addressed to the Child, Parent / Guardian have been hand delivered through the volunteers. The letter gives an explanation of the programme and introduce the sponsor, Dr. Lakshman D. Jayaweera and also requesting

Planned Future Programmes
We have outlined in the foregoing paragraph our first project in response to one of the immediate problems consequent to the tsunami disaster. We are aware that many other
social and economic issues faced by the people in Hambantota area need to be addressed.
It is our intention to undertake several other projects to cater to theses needs once we
acquire more experience and our administration structure is geared to extend the scope of
our activities.

At this juncture we have in mind the following projects.

- Identify the particular school the relevant child is studying and to provide where
necessary the school requirements such as library facilities, nutrition requirements
Gonnoruwa Primary School, Hambantota
- Identify and provide the basic needs for the needy children
- Provide healthcare facilities

And we will design a programme, depending on each individual child to enhance their living conditions, living atmosphere, standard of living etc.

Plan to provide a decent living conducive for the child to continue with his studies and to provide assistance mentally and physically to pacify him and to fill the gap created by the
loss of the parent/parents to the best of our ability.
